On the 4th of September, Kinnakas blog published a post about an incident in Kumbo that led to the death of a 16yrs old boy. According to information we got from a reliable source, the 16yrs old boy was shot dead after he raised an alarm when he saw red cap officers trying to steal the goats of an Indian Hemp farmer they went to apprehend.

A communiqué signed by the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Defence states that the incident happened when the gendarmes embarked in an operation to track down an Indian Hemp farmer in the Kifem.
There was a violent confrontation between the population and gendarmes. During the clash, one gendarme who was wounded and a young boy was seriously injured and he later died.
According to CRTV, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence immediately suspended the Gendarmerie Company Commander of Bui while military reinforcement was brought in. Calm now reigns in the Bui Division.
