South west governor,Okalla Bilai, signs a communique Prohibiting a range of Activities as from the Eve Of Oct. 1-Till Oct, 2nd

The South west governor; Okalla Bilai Bernard,  has released a communique Prohibiting a range of activities as from the Eve Of Oct. 1 till Oct, 2nd. The measures will take effect as from Friday 29 September, 2017 at 9 pm and end on Monday the 2nd October 2017 at 7 am.
 The measures were taken by the Cameroon Government in response to the Social Media threat about Southern Cameroon seceding from LRC on the 1st of October. In order to ensure that Cameroon stays peaceful (one and indivisible) come October 1st, 2017, the Government of Cameroon has taken a series of measures to frustrate any attempt by secessionist to separate the Country.
These measures will be implemented today, Friday 29 September as from 9pm to ensure that Cameroon remains peaceful come October 1st.
– The Total Prohibition of the Movement of Motor bikes
– The prohibition of the Movement of Persons and suspension of Inter-urban transport between the different towns and Localities.
– The Closure of the territorial and maritime borders.
-Total closure of bars, snacks and nightclubs.
-Prohibition of gatherings of more than 4 people in public places…
– The closure of all off-licences, bars, Snack-bars and Night Clubs
– The prohibition of any public gatherings and assembly of more than 4 persons in any public location.
– The suspension of all activities at Motor-parks, Sea or River ports and Wharfs.
Governor Okalia counts on the understanding and on the collaboration of the people of the North West and Southwest region to ensure the smooth implementation of above measures.
